Dave, that should make things a lot easier as I just have to change the reg number on each side of the fusilage, the aircraft letter on each side of the fin and the nosewheel door. I also need to remove my name from the side. I'm hoping with the new contacts with the squadron chaps since I distributed my booklet, that I can build a list of the other eleven names and the registrations that they go with. Till I get that info I will just leave the names off all but Echo.
I imagine that the stuff I want to change will have it's own layer so it might be a simple editing task if I have the original PSD textures...I have Photoshop.
I would be most grateful Dave...Dave, I do have copies of the .tga files that you gave me...Are they layered?...No, I just had a look and they don't seem to be layered  I imagine the layering is lost when you save it as a TGA file. Any advice to change the registrations would be most welcome

It looks very very nice, would you consider putting it up at The Pond when your done??
Leif...This project is meant to culminate with the twelve Hunter FGA9s of 208 Squadron taking off from Stradishall to fly out to Nairobi on the original route...I need to do some more brain picking of my mates but I think we went as two sixes and I certainly led one of the sixes (but I can't really think why me

). Anyway, the 50th anniversary of those flights will be June 1st, 2nd and 3rd 2010. Meanwhile, I need to place four "C" hangars and other scenery at Stradishall now that I have it functioning with Hunter traffic...I will probably simulate the 27 training sorties that I flew at Stradishall prior to leaving.
Anyway, I will certainly construct a full 208 Squadron package including Stradishall and parking AFCADs for Luqa, Nicosia, Teheran, Sharja, Khormaksar and Embakasi. Then I envisage a further package to simulate real squadron flights from the Kenya base :flying:

Here you go Peter:

Layered PSDs for all the external textures. They are oversize so will need reducing after editing for FS use.

Thank you very much Peter
I am sure the response to it will be great.

Thank you so much Dave...I've made twelve folders...one for each of the squadron aircraft and placed a copy of all your layered PSDs in each folder. So I can work at one at a time...First I need to get a font called RAF_PW_ATH...Looking now :flying:

Ah yes...Just been there and got it DaveB...But thanks for the pointer...Got the font and changed the registrations on A-XG134. That seemed very straight forward (even if it does just type on back to front ont the right side :o amazing). One question for DaveG though...The E for Echo on the nosewheel door...Is that a special font with a black outline or is it a Graphic? :flying:

Can't remember how I did that one  Looking at the PSD it's not a font layer, though it must have started out as that.
Easiest way to do it is to use a standard font, then add a stroke effect layer to it to give the outline.

Thanks Dave...I've done A-XG134 with just a yellow A without the line round it but I will experiment...All the registrations worked well but I have a very curious fault on the bottom of the fusilage...just the portion of "bottom" from just aft of the tail bumper to the shiny ring of the jet pipe...That portion only is shiny metal. However, when I look at the textures, that part is the same colour as the rest of the bottom, with no trace of bare metal. It is all the same in the .psd, the .tga and the .bmp

...I'll get a picture of it later and that might give you a clue
