I went flying this afternoon and what did I meet in the skies over Cornwall....but the Ercoupe painted as VX147 going the other way. He was on a solo Nav Ex out of Eaglescott (where he's staying) down to Wadebridge, across to Liskeard and back to Eaglescott.......a small world is aviation.

It was just a little bit far away to see any detail (and I'm pleased to state that!) not like the chap we met on the deadside today, coming in the wrong direction to us as we joined the circuit - no names mentioned of course - but it was something of a surprise "umm I can see him, God he's getting closer" - (much waggling of the wings - as he passed down our left side). I was in a Jodel Mosquetaire, another new type to add to the list. Wonder if one is available for FS2004?

I bet you have as always have done a superb job. Much better than anything I could ever do.

Ummm that would be good. Its always nice to have some reminder of the real thing. I'm trying to put together a photographic record gleaned from the net of everything that I've flown in, but there are a few missing - but given time, someone, somewhere in time would have taken a photo - the Air Britain Site is always a good provider.

And also its good to try and recreate the experience in the sim. Thats one reason why I'm not changing over to FSX. I have a number of aeroplanes in my virtual hangar of which I have been in (in the markings of the actual specimen, rather than types) including T-34, T-28, P-51D, TBM-3R, Rapide, Robin HR200 etc etc.

So yes a repaint of the aeroplane flown on Sunday would be superb.....don't suppose you stretch to Broussards, do you? :)

Will gather material this week and report back.

Best wishes,

Martin

No, not that one, but G-YYYY No.208 based at Eggesford in North Devon. This used to be painted up as an Shape Yoghurt - red, yellow, purple etc, but now wears the markings it wore when it first entered service with the French Air Force in Algeria in 1960. The main reason I ask, is that I do a lot of flying in it and it would be nice to have a 'replica' on the sim.
