Hi...
But if it pops up when I'm not installing anything then I'd want to know more about it!
In my case I get the warning as soon as I click the EXE file, even when it is still in the ZIP.
I cannot extract the file to any directory because Kaspersky won't allow me to unless I shut down Kaspersky!
And I do not think that shutting down to allow for whatever Install routine is the purpose of any AV program...
However, I wrote an e-mail to the AFG guys and this is the answer I got:
Hi,

It seems that Kaspersky antivirus software is quite critical on these files. We have found no virus and neither did Avsim's automatic scanner.
We are confident that it is a false alarm. I have heard reports that this virus error is common with installers created with the same program we are using (ClickTeam's InstallCreator, which is good and free one).

We're looking at putting manual install versions (just plain zip-files) into AFG home page.

Best Regards,
-Esa
This answer makes me very happy!!!

Grtz.

Sold! SAS it is! Thank you Dan and Garry.

I'm quite happy to pretend I'm a pilot, but I think that pretending I'm a French pilot would be one step too far! Although I have read St Exupery's 'Vol de Nuit' in the original, I never really understood why the rabid chimpanzee attacked the one-legged scientist with a machete ....

This model is just lovely. What a beautiful exterior and challenging panel to fly. It nudge's the sim that little bit further towards realism! And boy does she need some stopping distance on landing. I don't think I'll ever take reverse thrust for granted ever again!

Thank you to all concerned.

Hi Garry,

I think they did. This model has the chute feature. However I think its just decorative. Gonna be going through several sets of brake shoes at this rate. I suppose I will have to chose my destination with care. :)

Cheers Eddie/Dan

It seems it was only in bad conditions......it mention wet on the SAS and the AFR is in snow

Saw some ealy ones at LHR but never saw the chute used.

The only ones I've seen at out local were later US engined with reversers.

My understanding is that the chute was always used once the aircraft was below 160 knots (as per the manual) regardless of weather on shorter runways. If you have a nice long runway, you don't use it, just like you don't use any or minimal reverse thrust when landing on long runways in the real world. Hell, I know that the Air Wisconsin pilots rarely used any brakes when landing at Denver Int'l. They just coasted all the way to the gate.

I ran a spybot S&D on it and it came up clear.
