Well, While out looking for a new cooker at the weekend, I spent £20 in Comet on a Logitech Attack 3 stick. initial impressions are very favourable. Feels solid, has a rubber collar around the stick base, 11 buttons and throttle.
Only gripes are the positioning of (some) buttons need a non-critical assignment (easy to touch without realising) and the movement of the stick is critical when dead-centre. A little shake can move the response, so you need to lightly tap to centre when starting a take-off roll if it has been slightly nudged.
Possibly a setup thing, but there's a definite 'step' in A/C movement when looking at replays - it may just be more sensitive than the old SW.
Just good to be rotating and flaring again!
As for Helo flying, it is actually (IMO) better than the SW I had - for one thing there's more travel in the throttle switch.
