Thanks for clearing that up Dave. Just a crying shame about the sly little dig you had to get in.

I dunno if it's more a shame that a dig was made (which to be honest.. most here will now have missed or let go) or that it was commented on therefore highlighting it and not ignored

it was never a dig

the Alpha tornado was actually my idea, about 18 months ago. i contacted Dano and asked alpha to make one, and Dano said he would. I then offered Dano MANY tours of a REAL Tornado F3 at Leuchars, so he could get first hand info, but he never took me up on it, although many promises to were made. I then offered my assistance as beta tester and to help them develop the model so it was right, but it was refused.

Given my 15 years Tornado Engineer experinece i know EVERY inch of these babies. after release, i gave an Honest opionin of where it has errors, and was then attacked over it. you just cant win in the flightsim world, everyone knows that now

DC..

I have to admit I didn't read anything into your post. I noted the comment that you'd made the observation about autosweep to other authors in the past which I know you have and let it go.

Seems that some folk find it hard to move on I suppose

The other reason the auto wingsweep was disabled was a tactical one. Your opponent could guesstimate your energy state by simply looking at the position of the wings. I gather the air defenders didn't really like this much so there were moves made to go back to manual operation. We never had this problem on the all-electric swing-wing wonder bomber (GR1) because it was a man's aeroplane. If we were tapped we just ran away extremely quickly and anything more than 250 feet above the ground gave us nosebleeds!!!!!!

Best wishes

Hi...

Although I'm more a pilot that loves to fly old piston engined aircraft and early jets, I just bought this Alphasim Tornado F3, because of the nice screenies.
I've seen the Tornado perform on lots of airshows and always was impressed by its appearance and noise.
I'm not familiar with real flying characteristics of whatever airplane that flies around, so I won't jump into a discussion about that.
I really do like the product, have indeed troubles with staying in the air when doing a tight folded wing turn, but there's one thing that caught my eye, doing these turns.
The wing vortex's, when flying with folded wings are at the same position as when flying with unfolded wings. That looks really weird.
Don't know if this is a FS flaw or a little mistake by Dan, but I hope it can be fixed.

Grtz.
