Re: Formation Flying.
Gareth......Need to explain a few things mate.......This here bunch are serious about flying...same as me.....
You need to apply to join a VA to get onto FlyNet.....
Then you fly what is laid down in that VA's training program until you become qualified on another type....
I'm sure DaveB or Quantum will jump in here and explain things a tad better....

Re: Formation Flying.
Hi Gareth, have a look at the Recruiting and Rules section and the other threads regarding the VA.
As Tony said, Dave may be along and give you further advice regarding flying VA, it is tremendous fun....Come to think of it I must get back to some serious flying soon...been a long time away from it.

Re: Formation Flying.
Blimey - it does look quite serious! I would HATE to mess things up for the rest of you guys who maybe have a little more time to devote (just been looking at rules concerning landing lights and speeds below 10k etc etc)!
Re: Formation Flying.
Gareth, nothing to it believe me, you learn to drive a car and after passing the test you (hopefully) respect the rules of the road, with the VA the same applies but in a slightly different format. Air Rules and Regulations, learning them to fly the VA way is not difficult but being human, we can make mistakes. Should that ever happen don't worry. Buy Dave or John a drink then all will be forgiven!! CHEERS
Just thought, if it's the speed limits you are worried about then just get into a Vanguard, Viscount, Dove or any other prop aircraft on the fleet until you gain more experience/confidence in VA flying then go for the big powerful 'uns!!
