I think the 640 used two RR Darts, not Allisons. That is why the nacelle is less cluttered than an Allison nacelle in a C130 etc. Still, a bit of a guess though

True, I do not know why we (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE) are bothering as many of us have so many betas being test flown, do we really need more
, I guess the dreaded competative spirit kicked in and as an ex SE Region ATC aircraft recognition champion, I thought it would be easy :-(

I think the 600 series Convairs are out as the props are Ham Standard and all the Dart Convairs I ever saw had Dowty props
Bugger me - an Eland powered Convair maybe???
But Continentals fleet list from back then (plus the help of a 25 year CAL mechanic) doesnt mention any of them
