Paul, thanks for your info and welcome to the forum! Just so everyone knows, Paul was very helpful in getting superb reference for one of the Luftwaffe Canberra repaints I did a while ago, and a big Cranberry enthusiast.
Regarding the online beta flight, let's get a consensus of where to meet and what Skype number/teamspeak channel we're dialing into, and then I will post up the time and details both on here and the main site when all is ready. Techy, if you want to manage that, go right ahead and CHEERS
ATB,
Steve

Lovely stuff, Techster, you are indeed the man. I'll give you a shout when we are closer.
Now, on a totally different note, Skippy has suggested aligning the startup fx file to the jet starter button in the 2D panel in order to synch the sound and emission to the beginning of the startup sequence. Can anyone advise on how to go about this? I have spent some time this morning reading numerous posts on forums and wading through XML code that I don't understand and am no closer to the answer. Hopefully one of the gurus on here can help out! I have also posted on FFDS and we'll see if that turns up anything.
**UPDATE:
Problem solved 100%. I moved the effect from EFFECTS to SMOKE SYSTEMS, then added some code to the panel main battery switch so that it triggers immediately on startup, rather than about 6 seconds in. I have to say I am rather chuffed with this solution, as it required no re-compiling of the model or particularly complex XML. If anyone ever needs this code, just let know. I'm going to do the same for Paul Foster's Canberra (with his permission of course) sometime soon and get those three dirty plumes going. I guess the moral is: where there's a will, there's a way (for newbies like me ;-) )
This also means we can have some classic 'mass startup' screenshots and/or video when we do the beta-flight. I think we should also taxy into a nice line, shut down, then do a co-ordinated startup, ala Royal Navy at it's finest!
Cheers,
Steve

Im sure you have seen these before -- but the number of Sea Hawks in the photos amazed me
I found this site while trawling for of all things the lyrics to "The Sea Vixen Song" (aka Ashes to Ashes)
The Ark I believe with F3H Demons aboard
Bulwark with a scad of Sea hawks
Bulwark again - those must be Avengers on the pointy end

Glad you managed to get the "start" sorted Leif.
When I look at the last two shots you posted, the word "shoe horn" springs to mind. I had not seen those before.
Am awaiting a screen shot of the "massesd start" - will make a brilliant sight.

Really lovely pics, Leif, a fine sight indeed, and I had not seen those shots before. Shows you how compact the Sea Hawk was when you how many they crammed along the side like that. Still in their Suez bands I see as well. The choreography of these pics along is impressive, right down to the pair of Avengers at the bow.

The bottom two shots look suspiciously like Valetta Harbor so they were either enroute to the Suez or returning
Judging by the launches arrayed aound her, I would say its a fair assumption that this might be a muster prior to
shore leave -- Im sure Dave and the rest of the Matelots can tell us - what I dont understand is they all seem to
be wearing blues instead of tropic whites .
The SeaHawk really was a compact aircraft - I have stood beside the Demon at the San Diego Museum of Hair
and Face

and its not a large aircraft and it makes the Seahawk in the foreground look small -- Dumb question
the upper seagrey on the seahawk looks gloss in that photo, is that correct?

I'd say if they've all got 'invasion' stripes it's the way back from Suez, from the various sources I've used on the Wyvern it wasn't until a few days before kick off that they all got painted up. Also at the same time as having the stripes put on the side numbers were painted over until after the show, which would again hint at the shots being after the conflict.
Got no idea why everyone is formed up in divisions, there don't look to be enough boats to get everyone ashore in any sensible time frame. May be a church service post conflict?
I'd have to check on blues vs. whites but in some theatres it's season specific which you wear, although as blues can be annoyingly warm in this country it must have been boiling in Malta.
Can confirm the Seahawk is tiny, I'm a stumpy 5' 6" and I feel massive standing next to it!

Nice info there, lads. If you look hard at the last shot, you can see '230' which I believe is a popular old Sea Hawk in terms of model kits and reference books. I think you can make out the Caspian Tern nose art on the line up too, along with the 'Z' and smaller 'B' red squares on the fin. Brilliant photos.
The Sea Hawk is small, but maybe that was a reason it was so popular. When I sat in it, I felt absolutely at ease in it, mainly from a visibility perspective. You are low to the ground, right up by the nose, unlike the Gannet which I also sat in and felt a totally different feeling (one of absolute amazement that anyone could land a brute like that on a moving deck!)
