Something else i don't understand is the texture resolution setting, in FSX and P3D. I cant see much discernable difference from the lowest to the highest setting. This is with GenX and UK2000 extreme flying DG's T8. I was trying every possible combination to get Victorious FLOLS to show.

I'm a bit curious on that, my P3D is set at 1024x1024 textures, I did experiment with 2048x2048 which all out models are done in and saw no difference. Of course I don't know if this means it's using the 2048 textures anyway or still forcing them down to 1024 when I'm using the higher settings. I suspect the former as I could make out individual rivets on the Bucc in both cases.
Re the Vic I'm going to try replacing the custom effects with some standard ones to see if that fixes the problem of them not showing. It will introduce another problem of not being able to see them until you've almost landed but one step at a time.

Somewhat OT, but a) how did you get AI to land on a carrier; and b) are you using RFN Gauge v4.1 for the landing sight?

Andy.. I think George made the model a static. At least I hope that's what he did as I don't know of any AI that will land on a moving ship :-O

I'd assumed the same Dave, but now I'm wondering if George dropped it subtly in there to show off something very clever. Now that would be nice

Reference the texture resolution - I changed mine over Alaska, too, from 1024 squared to 512 and it didn't seem to make any difference at all visually, and the framerates were unchanged.

Oh. btw - VOXatc works just nice'n'dandy. Well, the US version does - couldn't get the English installer to work (from CD) as I get an error about 2/3 through and it exits.

Nothing clever, just converted the ship model to an FSX scenery model so I could have hundreds of Illustrii all over the world :)

Not that I know :dunno:

Been using REX with my P3D and im happy how it looks compaired to FSX, sepecially with the cloud layers and volumentric fog. Just waiting on the SLI version before i decide if i need to upgrade the GFX card...

Edit; Forgot to mention that i have got the Razbam Harrier in P3D too! With weapons too!
