Re: New Recruits please post details here
Hi Tony,
Yes, as Garry says, FlyNET is still down but is expected back online hopefully beginning of October so fingers crossed we should be back on stream within four weeks. I am sure there will be a flurry of activity when that happens so you will get a heads up to register at FlyNET and we can proceed with your introduction to VA flying. In the meantime feel free to familiarise yourself with how the VA and FlyNET works by taking a look through the VA forums.

Hi Iain and welcome to both the forum and VA
Now it looks as though the VA's new client is up and running as prescribed after an enforced outage, we can get back to normal ops again so good luck and calm aires. Post any questions/queries down in the Crew Room and one of the pilots will there to answer them in short order. You'll have received your first PM on FlyNET off John and can expect further instruction in the not too distant ;-)

Hi Simon,
No mate. I issued you with your initial type rating on the Dove so you can go and get used to how the system works using a very forgiving tool to learn on. If you've been able to read through the blurb (and you must have had plenty of time while the server was down).. you'll know that none of the Doves have a specific base so wherever you find one, it's your's for the taking
Iain..
If you're looking in too, I've also activated the Dove for you so the same applies. When you're both confident enough to move up to something a little bigger, post your request for additional type ratings via PM on FlyNET to either John or me. We'll be keeping an eye on your progress to make sure you're not making any repetitive errors. Best of luck to you both and happy flying ;-)

Thanks Dave, I'll spend a few days on the Dove getting used to her before I attempt my first VA flight.
