Hi James

Well there were a number of ways I could have done it, Ai (but I'm not clever enough) FS recorder (I'm not patient enough) or the way I did it in the end which was to slew the Lanc into position over the palace and shoot it, then swap aircraft to the Spitfire slew that and shoot it (twice) and then comp them together.

The poppies themselves are two main parts, those close to camera are 'real' whilst those exiting the bomb bay are hand drawn in photoshop.

Then I comped it all together in PS. Total time 2-3 hours (I think)

Hope that helps

John

ps obviously it's colour balanced etc

Blimey, talk about screenshots meets art! These really are wonderful, John. Difficult to pick out a favourite, but I really do like that first one of Concorde. It almost has a contemplative atmosphere about it, and for some weird reason reminds me of 'High Noon'. It must be the plane standing out in the sun, ready for whetever the day brings.

Feel free to post more of these any time you like !!
