Sorry to bump this old thread up, but I couldn't forget the things Rick said about the changed lon. lat., vert. for the smoke system:

this is directly cut out from the SDK:

to
smoke.n

Description
The longitudinal, lateral and vertical position of the smoke emitter, in feet, and the smoke effect file name.

Examples
Extra 300S( smoke.0=-10.00, -0.70, 0.0, fx_smoke_w )

And btw. put DMFS shared files under the airplane folder, and it works.

Hi Dan,

Finally getting round to playing with this. I still can't get it right. Any chance you could post the original figures, for example for the C1k and the amended fiqures for FSX. I think I'm missing something, but I'm way too sleepy.

Easy way to change the smoke is to take the first figure and put it last, for example,

FS2004: smoke.0=0.0,-10.00, -0.70, fx_smoke_w

becomes

FSX: smoke.0=-10.00, -0.70, 0.0, fx_smoke_w
