Classic British Flight Sim

In the end I decided not to bother. I have 5 payware a/c (ATR72, CS 727, Flight1 MD-80, PIC 737, LevelD 767) and I never really fly them that much, preferring to stick with the excellent 1-11.

Thanks for the heads-up about the HJG 707's; downloaded that with the nice Aer Lingus paintjob. Together with a great panel I saved myself 11 euro there (thus perpetuating the myth about Scotsmen and their tight wallets!) !

Hi gevers. Glad you went for the HJG aircraft. It looks good and flies beautifully and the panel has a nice balance of technical involvement. HJG is Tony Madge's site (see above) and he and Garry Russell of this forum have done many of the excellent repaints. You'll get plenty of advice on the HJG forum if you hit any snags.

Peter McLeland, who contributes to this forum, recently adopted an HJG 707 and treated us to an amazing round-the-world spectacular as he created an AI flight plan for it. Here is just one of his screenshot shows of the trip. As a 707 fan I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

the nice thing about the HJG 707 and panel plus sounds ..besides being free are the various panels that match the various types. Capt Sim 707 no doubt excellent, however when you look at HJG's 707 family model variants I doubt capt sim has so many options...but I would say that wouldn't I

One thing I will add about HJG is that over the last years or so it had stagnated a bit then finally it closed.

A few weeks later it was re-launched by Tony and Mark Cranston who also is a member here.

Since then it has come in leaps....so anyone thinking old HJG foget that....it is very active now.

All the 707 models have been updated and new variants of the military C-135 have been added.

Livery updates are frequent and panels and sounds continue to be improved and updated.

It is well worth an entry in the favorites and regular visits to avoid missing out.

All the offerings are or the highest freeware standard and are complimentary to the British types offered here.

Anyone who has not been there is missing a large chunk of aviation history.

HI Tony,

There are a selection of variants with the CS model though exactly which I couldn't say as I never fly the darned thing. Anyway.. gevers1 managed to save himself 11euros (whatever that might be in real money) to squander on something else and still ended up with a 707.. a good deal if ever there was one
