Fs9 at the moment, and for the foreseeable future too, I mean I like FSX in terms of style, but like FS9 more!
What sim are you using

Hi Ben.
FS9.There isn't a snowballs chance in hell that my PC would run FSX and have other demands on finances before replacing it but I wouldn't say never.ATB EricT

I will wait until FSX is available in the budget range. So until then I will use FS9.

Good idea Ben! handy for those currently developing add-ons...
Both FS9 and X at the moment, although the latter is rarely used due to its poor performance and FD. Interestingly tho, I've come to enjoy FS9 even more since running FSX
Cheers,
Lee

Hi Lee
i find the FD far superior to FS9.
you can actually get a proper stall at last.
Ground friction is also much more realistic now.
I keep seeing FD comments

I'd like to know if any of our FSX users is flying airliners from city to city with it.
I've got the impression that people who like FSX are mainly enjoying flying smaller aeroplanes over detailed rural scenery & water.
Not any criticism, I just want to know if it's any good for typical airliner flying too.
I still haven't got it & as an airliner fan I'm not keen to at the moment.

Hi Rick,
Oh agreed, there are many welcomed changes superior to FS9 but as a frequent heli flyer I can't help but be left with a soar taste in my mouth. Flying a heli in FSX for me is akin to the classic 'Lunar Lander'
http://www.springfrog.com/games/lunar-lander/
...the challange has been lost and the 'child-safe' FD feels more like an arcade game rather than a simulation. Time will tell I guess when developers work their magic with the vast scope of FSX... I for one, certainly look forward to enjoying FSX in the future.
Best,
Lee

Hi Lee
I keep seeing people saying the new B206 is too easy to fly.
I can only guess they have their realism sliders set on easy as i find it almost identical to FS9 if the sliders are one back from max realism.
Having flown a real heli or two i can say FS9 was nothing like a real heli either
But i know what you mean about the general heli feel in FSX (too stable) by default.

Rick
