Neil,
did you catch a glimpse of Tonks (or rather the VC10) when he flew in the other day?
BTW Tonks, I hope you waved from the flightdeck to the anoraks stood out in the cold photographing you as you taxied past!

Fantastic news!,
Well done to all of those involved,
I appreciate that it will take time to put it back together, but I can't wait to see it all back in one piece!

Will G-AWZK be displayed on its own mock runway similar to Concorde and the RJX
Current plan ... no. Sat on three concrete plinths (that are alrady in place) surrounded by gravel.
As for the VC-10 ... would love the opportunity to keep on in the same condition - maybe in the old two-tone RAF colours
I wonder;
a) how much would the MoD let me have one for when they finally retire; and
b) where I could put one?
Now for a silly question (maybe?) but presumable the RAF Museum isn't going to stop collecting examples of RAF aircraft now so are they expected to take the larger aircraft when they retire?

Hmm I never actually thought of that... If Cosford wanted to be an RAF Museum then the could have painted the VC10 in RAF colours...

Hi Jonesey
Wrong type of VC 10 to be in RAF colours :shock:

Hi Tonks,
excellent. There's something (for me anyway) that makes you feel good when a Pilot waves at you as they taxi past. :hi:
Although perhaps its just me and the kids that get excited!
