I have OL2003, but I seem to remember that the setting is more or less the same as in OE6... I guess you connect to the internet via modem or are you constantly connected...?

No Dan I am always on with the broadband connection. I am sure this is something to do with the Yukon ethernet card as everything else points that way. However I am clueless as to what it is as I cannot spot it??

It all seems to be working now??? I fiddled with thia and that and bingo it fired up...I mainly messed with AVG...I will update you if this happens again..many many thnaks for all the help guys..stopped me going nutty :lol:

As I always say, messing with this and that always seem to cure the problem....glad you're sorted (for the time being)

well after working atreat last night back to not accepting e-mails but sending them today...I give up on this crap system... I hate m*sh with so much passion I will haunt those bastids when I snuff it :curse:
I have never before had so much hassle witha computer so tempremental it should havea Lotus or Ducatti badge on it!

You probably just need to wipe it and reinstall everything, it was an decent spec Tony. :wink: (but not from one of these crappy restore CD's though)

Ben do you mean format the bloody thing? The only CD I have was with the system and it had XP on it so it has to be retored to the original spec...
