Can't think why anyone would want erj145's as they spend more time tech than in the air.

Heh nice vid. Ive only been in and out of city in an F50.
There is something special when you look out of your window and see 4 engines

I like the 145's tbh, felt like I was in a Bizjet  Got Roller power too

I suppose given that Flybe's own 146s are on the way out its not all that surprising. Sad so say, but the 146 is 25 years old (since its first flight) this year and the original design is now some 33 years old :worried: For certain operations its still the best though.

Jonesey, havent tried a 145, but those engines are American designed Allison AE 3007s. RR acquired Allison some while ago and its now known as RR North America or some such.

I havent flown on a 146 since 1989, and I have never done LCY. Does anyone know of any routes of there that are guaranteed (or 99% sure!) to be a 146/RJ and dont cost the earth? I feel the need for another flight before its too late

Birmingham-Zurich with Swiss on the right flight (145 on the way back)? It was the case in April - but not costing the earth does not apply

And since they are getting more of the 146 (having dumped the Saab 2000 to Darwin) perhaps even more likely.

I have to admit that I enjoyed that 146 flight. Only my second. The first time was horrendous on an Air France Birmingham to Paris - not sure what the problem with the pressurisation was, but my ears hurt for hours.

Toby

Ooops, you wanted to go out of LCY - sorry about not reading your post properly.

Well Brum is closer to me and Zurich probably more interesting than Edinburgh (sorry Scots). Perculiarly enough, theres a high probability that work might send me on exactly that route at some point. Doubt they would pay for Swiss though...
