Hi Guys
You can't go by the dates on the files as i was hacked 4 times just this year & the files just take on the last upload date.

I'm confused a little. I too am looking/waiting for an updated V700
model - I'm not fussed about opening doors and stairs and fancy bits
like that but with the existing model some rather strange things happen
to a few AI aircraft (like they fold up and point upwards!) when
you switch on the taxi or landing lights. I think this is something to do
with the integrated lights in older versions of FSDS but it was
instantly resolved with your new V800 model. Hence my tongue
hanging out waiting for the V700 update.
I've downloaded the Viscount700upd.zip from you site but that does
not seem to make any difference. Which file do I need to
download, please?
It was never my intention to pressurise you on this for you have plenty
on your plate, but seeing the subject has come up, and an
update apparently already exists . . .
Best wishes,
John

Hi John
I already said that there is no file yet as i am trying to juggle 20 things at once.
nobody has reported a problem for more than 3 years so i don't class it as priority
Soon is as good as it gets as i am up to my ears in FSX mods & fixes
as i only have 4 days to go.

No probs, Rick, I must have misunderstood what others said earlier. You concentrate on what you are concentrating on and don't worry about me.
Best wishes,
John

Hi John
Here we go
http://www.btinternet.com/~rick.piper/v700mdls.zip 750 kb ish
*****************Important!*******************************
you must unzip to your FS9 folder!. (ie: everything is already in the correct folders in the zip)
don't use this update if you want night textures as they have been removed for light maps which are not in this zip and i'm too busy to do them currently.
if you insist on not doing this as you think i have not scanned my update for viruses etc i will not provide support.
Sorry but i get a real pain in the b*m from "Experts" that will not follow instructions
2 new mdl files for the Viscount 700 & 700D with a texture & lightmap for the steps that goes into the "FS9\texture" folder.
Nothing else in there.
no spam, no spyware, no cookies etc etc as i hate them too.
Please feel free to upload to Happy Otter's site etc.
It's a temporary update as Garry & i will eventually sort out the correct nose shapes on all the 700 series but i got waylayed by too much work.
Regards
Rick

Hi John
No, it's not that.
you just reminded me to find the file & upload it.
I just needed a small kick up the A*** to get it done
Later in the week i will try to put the night textures back as Garry had a problem with light maps as ai recall. but it's not yet a definate

And there's me saying I don't care about doors and steps but those oval
ones look so tasty and I particularly like the portable staircase at the
back - the BEA 700 is just like the beauty in Duxford which looks as if it
has had a coat of paint and is being worked on internally now that its in
the newly enlarged hanger.
Your work never ceases to amaze me, Rick, thanks once again.

Hi John
yes i had to knock something up to keep the Health & Safety lot happy
they don't like passengers jumping the 8 ft to the apron
In truth not many 700s had airstairs so i had to make something tangeble
to stick under the door as it looked odd without.

Rick
