Hi Leif
I saw one of them
ET-AAY at Gatwick....special flight I believe.
Very smart.
AA other one....G-APSA was a special DC 6 when new...it was the Chinese one in the golden dragon livery.
Minicraft made a model of it.

Ah thks! - kind of thought so - often wondered if they were Toms outfit.
Be interested to know what the business/ operational model is behind, what appears to be an ongoing storage plan.
Are the a/c simply being outfielded to cheaper ramping according to market demand..
Always with the questions, sorry..

Hi Garry,
G-ARPZ was scrapped by ASI in 2000.

Might sound daft but is the AA paint scheme available for the Cal classic's model? I really fancy a DC-6 now.
EDIT **cancel that, I just found it

As Alain de Cadanet one famously said F*** ME
As Top Gear & that man Clarkson have been mentioned, (he comes from Doncaster too...pity) has been brought up - just for one brief moment let me put on mu railway hat & tell you that last week a stunt for the next series was shot in Lincolnshire where by an on doesel locomotive (31107 if you are interested) was propelled at speed into a parked car on level crossing.
Pity Clarkson was on in the car...I'm not a fan

Thanks Garry! - AKA L.Clarke, thought it be wise to 'correct' my username at this early stage so that it's less formal and more inline with the atmosphere of this joyful forum... apologies for any confusion

Sorry to pull this thread from the depths but Tom's superb photo was mentioned on another forum and whilst trying to find it I noticed the following comment in this thread....

Spooky since that very sequence was on last weekend!
Out of interest, where was it filmed? Anyone know?
Plus, any updates on the AA move...?
