Chris,
Just to let you know the case arrived today. I've not attempted to fit the gear out of my old case into it yet as the old case is yet to be stripped but I've just taken the new one out of the box and given it a quick once over and the build quality looks superb. It is the first case I've bought that came with it's own manual (not a piece of paper with a poor diagram!!) and the whole shebang weigh's a ton!! Only one pwr output so I have to find another socket but that's not a problem. Will let you know how I get on once I've fitted the bits inside

I have a Lian-Li Aluminium PC-6089A, which I love very much...It made building this PC so much easier than my previous

I agree with the tidyness of your flightdeck Peter. Unfortunately, while my toyroom is not 'out of bounds' to the good lady.. she rarely ventures in (probably because the floor is almost as untidy as my deskspace) so.. it's a bit of a tip. A far cry from 'a tidy ship is a happy ship'

Most of my desk is covered with bits of old graphics cards and obsolete mobo's Not anymore tho as Ive foud a cardboard box big enough
Thats a nice setup you got there Peter. I allmost bought a Lian Li PC65.
Was a choice between that one or the CM Praetorian. I should have said before, get a case with a removeable motherboard tray. Makes life a whole lot easyer.
For the record I dont like my window pannel, and Im trying to get a plain square version, but thats like looking for a needle in a haystack!
A few pics for those interested. Im sure you will like the posters anyway!

The two small lcd dispays stuck to the 3.5inch drivebays are temperature probes, The top one is touching the heatspreader on the cpu core and the other is reading the ambient air temp. The LCD screen in the CD drive bay is a Matrix Orbital MX222 and can display just about anything, including local weather, cpu usage, ram usage, hdd usage, now playing song on winamp, network usage, FPS when using fraps and can also tell me if I have new e-mail.
Also the fan controller lets me have an allmost silent PC when browsing the net ect, and then unleash a tornado when it gets a bit hot inside whilst gaming.
Oh and the toggle switch below the floppy drive controls the cold cathode tube.

Yeah I think the product designer hired to do the case for the Pixma series should probably be fired. Works well enough though.andy wrote:Even a toastie maker over on the left........................!!!

I've just redecorated this room, currently the only two things on the walls are that London nightscape and a large print of a JEA 146  . Did have girlie pics up in my own room until I was about 16 or 17 I'd guess Not as good as Jonesey's pics though
