Oooops, sorry Vegas...Hadn't seen that you got here before I put in my post......do appologise.
Though I have said it elsewhere I will say it again........The Beckhams really p*ss me off.....as do some other footballers........yes they may be seen to be good at their game but the amount they are paid is disgusting...No I am not jealous at all........but they way some of them behave on and off the pitch........I wouldn't pay them in peanuts!!!!!!!!!!

It seems the flypast was not asked for by the Beckhams, in fact they turned down the offer made by the RAF.

This just gets more and more confusing!!!!
Beckham plays for some Spanish Club.
Refused the opportunity (from the taxpayer) of having an RAF flypast................declined!!
All he wanted was a display by American planes!!!
Whos' side is he
on!!!????

His (or his PR manager's) reasoning seems to be:
Don't mention the War
I'm not a football fan but I much prefer the Beckham's excesses to the thugish and criminal behaviour of
some other footballers.
