There was a TV programme on some years ago feauring the sole surviving Lincoln

There was a tape made aparently left in the empty aircraft which appeared to have recorded switches being fliked on and other 'pre-flight' noises.

Is that the same Lincoln that's meant to be haunted by a pilot who flew it and claimed he would return 'to haunt his baby'?

I remember that, now that was as spooky as that fake tv show made one halloween. Ghost Watch I think it was called. It featured Sarah Greene and Michael Parkinson in the studio. All about a so called haunted house they were watching. Bit like a Most Haunted but fake. Even though it was fake, I c@#ped myself.

Anyone who has worked on the engineering side of aviation will tell you that all aircraft make a lot of strange sounds, creaks and groans, as the airframe cools in the evening. A lot of metal, and rivets contracting and shrinking. Strangs places to be at night.

Sounds a bit like my ex-wife..................

Picture this, 1982, June, expecting warm weather? think again Dick Whittington. In a trench in cold icy peat bog, four foot of snow and a horizontal blizzard blowing like the clappers, dying to go to do No 2's, dare'nt disrobe in case some sensitive member touches metal, and some pratt stands on a landmine. There are no ghosts, only those that haunt you in your own mind. Shame though, was glad I had my brown long-johns on, and I was saving those to watch a re-run of Deliverance
