I don't think that Ben would be too happy with you if the forum crashed through over use, and he had to spend all weekend rebuilding it.

Thats what I am afraid of matey. As I said I don't know whether the idea could ever succeed due to the technical implications, but hey we coped with 60 users at once. Why not 61!!

I'd love to see it for a giggle. The funny thing about that day with the 60 users was that there was nothing happening!
It was a totally random event. Its very odd when you consider what has been relesed since, but we've never come close.

Hi Ben
Well if its ok with yourself & the top cheeses here and anyone else who fancies it, why not give it a go and set an event date?
Perhaps a weekend would suit the majority?

TBH Ben
I thought we were going to bust it at least twice recently
Not only because of the release but beacuse there are a lot more members now
Random numbers are funny things

I thought so too Garry. What with the number of members and the Hunter 2 holer and 748, I thought it was a cert, but the most I saw was 37!

I've always considered that magic '60' as spurious anyway

Is there any point?
Is that not like saying last June there was a six mile traffic jam, if a lot of us got together perhaps we could make it twelve.
I don't know if it would jam things up or just irritate because everything happens at once.
Maybe I'm just a miserable old fart.

You can be part of history! You can always look at that record and know you were part of it, something to tell your grand kids about.
But I will probably be busy elseware.
