Yes, it puzzled me for a while, Mike. It's a very clever reference to Alum Bay hence my response about pushing coloured sand down into glass lighthouses.

Incidentally, I think I called it Alum Chine in my earlier post which is near Bournemouth. Alum Bay is the one on the IoW.

It is similar to the island in the Irish Sea known for its 3 legs.......'Ten M'......I.O.M.
Its from an old joke about an american pilot on his first trip in Europe, when asked his position he referred to his map & said......'Ten W'....
