Megascenery use photo textures so Shannon and Dublin will, from certain altitudes at least, look exactly as the real thing. I don't believe any of these packages contain airports so unless you've changed them.. all you'll see is default. I can imagine there will be a lack of autogen as photoscenery tends to sit on it!

Finally got it downloaded and installed into P3dv3.2.
First impressions are OK, but not great. Colour looks too green. I know it's the Emerald Isle, but still. Textures don't seem quite as sharp as GenX. Quite a few areas have clouds in the image, and in places these are cut in half where they cross scenery areas, and the colour match is poor as well.



It's fine for a freebee, but I don't think I'll be buying any other areas.

Hmm.. I'm glad I didn't bother having seen that Dave. PCA keep sending me emails (with offers) noting that I've never bought any MSE areas. Simple reason is.. there's nowhere I want in their areas

I have to say that those screenshots don't show their work in a good light even though many swear by it

Many areas look fine, but things like that stick out like a sore thumb.

It's not all bad, some areas look really good.



but i did find an area of default scenery in the middle! May have been an installation glitch.
Think I'm going to uninstall it though, and get my HD space back.

Its pretty dreadful in many places, e.g. around Belfast where the default scenery shows through. Indeed most of the coastline areas have problems. Unfortunately I paid for it, but it seemed a good way at the time to get photoscenery for N Ireland, which doesn't exist elsewhere. Shame the vendor didn't do the job properly.

Same for me. It's too green compared to the Gen X vols 9 and 10. However it does have Northern Ireland which is not covered by Gen X.

Add-on airports don't look right due to the colours. Do I keep it just for N Ireland ? probably not. Glad I didn't pay for it.

On balance I think I will uninstall and go back to volumes 9 and 10. Glad I didn't uninstall them, just unticked from the scenery library, so soon be able to get back to where I was.
