Had a result..
I popped into the living room this evening to find the boss playing her beloved card games on the (now) Win10 laptop
However.. she informed me that there was a problem
Remember me saying that during the install.. it asked if I wanted to install 'Edge' and I said NO but it went ahead and installed it anyway?? Well.. it came up tonight with a warning box saying that as I was using McAfee (the laptop came with it pre-installed).. it couldn't protect my IP address if I continued using Edge so would I like to go back to IE?!! I said YES and it put IE back
It's very helpful but I DID say I didn't want Edge in the first place 
I don't care what it uses as long as the bosses card games still work
