Gents , been a long day at work , so it's '' beer 'o clock '' .... so with hat and coat on and door open ....
Reckon the red basket is a lobster creel that's broken it's moorings and come in with the tide .
Twotter moving might be the state of the tide .. or whether it's Spring or Neap tides !
Half sunken Twotter might have found the quick sand that an Heron went into back in early sixties . Another day I might find a Photo of a dozen people with backs under the wings digging it out ..

door closed from outside ,

If they''re not in a library, they could be embedded in the AFD. Again, just delete them in ADE.

Sorry about yesterday, ISP was down all day.
Here, you'll see the Flybe Twotter in its two positions. I noted the first, went off to check the time & season, = 13:14:29 GMT May 2014.
Wrote it down, flipped back to watch proceedings, and it had moved. :dunno:
The mechanic's legs can be seen under the fuselage when it is where I expected it to be.

Here's George's red WARNING sign, identified by IS; and on the lists of objects in the library.
Note the windsock isn't identified, and it is limp:

Increased the wind speed, and the sock fills. Conclusion: it is animated, not just a solid object. Compared it to the little red windsock which I inserted, and they indicate 90 degrees differently.
PIC TO COME HERE, I'LL BE BACK
Image
The ADE file shows George's signs, but not the windsock or Twotter.

DaveF, FYI; the red "basket" is IS telling us that this is the currently selected item.
Hope you enjoyed your drink

Could the Twotter be AI? There are two parking spots.

I think it must be AI George. When I first got Part4.. I flew there a lot and never once saw the Twotter. You could argue that I might not have been there at the same time.. especially on VA flights as they're scheduled but to have completely missed it every time I've been there is stretching it a bit. I DO see Cherokee's there from Scotflight but that's it. I don't have any Flybe schedules loaded on this install but I guess I could find one off an old install. It was one of very few commercial traffic files I had loaded.

Mike.. have a look at Benbecula for those dratted windsocks.. there are two!

Hi Dave,
Last night....=*=
Located those two at Benbecula, and as I could not delete*, changed their altitude to negative 20ft.
Then I compiled.
Had to save as an ADEX file.
Zoomed in on the spot at Barra, found two objects on top of each other, without names.
Deduced one was the Warning sign, so the other long number must be windsock.=*=
Sent suspected windsock 20ft underground, compiled, had to save as ADEX.
Nothing changed in FSX.

Been out all morning, peeked at the ADE Manual :worried: :-O I don't know if I'll live long enough to read it.
I've probably done something out of sequence, or maybe I have to delete the Horizon airports and put the ADEX files in.**
In a bit of a rush, will go back to the manual when the dust settles.

EDIT:
Read the Manual, and it's quite good. :agree:
*To delete, you select with left click, then right click for the menu including "Delete"!
=*= Deleted it, saved, compiled, saved over the top of Horizon's file.
**True in a roundabout way.
Went to FSX.the windsock was still there, but every orange pole runway marker was gone. Promise, I only deleted ONE object, and it was nowhere near those orange poles!
Uninstalled then reinstalled Vol4. Used IS to locate & delete the four buildings and wrong light pole.
Put back my buildings, back to where I started. Next time, I'll COPY the airport before I do another ADE deletion.
George is right about the windsocks being ADE insertions, I've just got to get the object number correct.

My god Mike.. what a palarva!! 8)

Agree about ADE. One could never accuse the author of skimping on his manual :wall: I'll have to start playing and see what I can ruin

I think that is where you went wrong.

IS is fine for positioning objects, but one can use it only to delete objects in a bgl created by IS.

Why don't you upload your bgls for us to look at?

Hi George,
The bgls were created in IS, because they can be accessed and moved or deleted there. Didn't have trouble with those deletions.
The bother happened in ADE...
I'll repeat without all the other business for clarity:
Opened EGPR in ADE from the bgl.
Zoomed in and found two objects on top of each other.
One had the same reference number as several other objects spread along the beach, so I took them as your warning sign.
The other was a different number, and the only one of its kind, so took it as windsock.

The orange poles, described as "belisha", which makes sense, are objects in "Barra Objects" library, and can be selected, moved, or deleted at will.

I will upload the EGPR afx bgl to my website, and post a direct link with an edit, so that you can open it in ADE and see what's there.

EDIT Here it is:

Hi Mike,

I see that you have deleted the default buildings and added another: {404bd385-9cfa-414b-85b7-882922caf74b} which I don't have.

There isn't a windsock model, it uses the default.

Possibly the duplicate objects are The flashing lights on top of the "belishas". They are in Beacon-Effects.BGL and use fx_lightObsRedFlash40.fx in the FSX\Effects folder.

The easiest way to delete objects in ADE is to <Left-click> to select them then press the <Delete> key.
