I don't think you should be put off by it Peter. After all, conventional/mechanical HD's have a MTBF index but what that means in real money is anyones guess :lol: SSD's (as I understand it) don't fail in the same way.. they wouldn't would they really.. but like mechanical drives, they will eventually suffer bad sectors (or the SSD equivalent) and the drive hardware will no longer write to them. :) The main drawback with them at the moment is their cost per GB. You can pick up a fast SATA3 HD of much greater volume at a similar cost to one of the small SSD's :cpu:
