Found the little B@%&^*d causing the problem with SMM
Instead of moving GenX 3DO's up the list.. I decided to start unticking various ES sceneries. While doing this, I remembered that the IoS scenery removes the default dock and adds another for ScillionianIII to tie up at (though to be brutally honest, I'd never seen Scillonian3 tie-up there until just!)
Inside the IoS Maritime Traffic folder are 4 files.. ES-IOS-BTX.bgl, PenzanceFerrDockexclude.BGL, PenzanceNewDock.bgl and Plymouth-Ships.bgl.
Now.. I know from past experience that Plymouth-Ships.bgl fills 'PORTSMOUTH' with American warships so I'd already changed the suffix to .bgD (or something like that) having added my Portsmouth scenery. The only exclude I have (which again, I'd forgotten about) is George's hideousFerryTerminalExclude and I know IT wasn't responsible otherwise George wouldn't be seeing SMM either so it had to be the IoS PenzanceFerrDockexclude. With IoS Maritime Traffic folder deselected, SMM reappears in all it's glory with those vile trees
Problem is, the old hideous ferry terminal appeared with IoS Maritime Traffic deselected and I'd have thought George's exclude would still be killing it. I think I put it in Addon Scenery/Scenery along with the Portsmouth Liner exclude and it seems to work as those horrible terminals are nowhere to be seen
Anyhoo.. that's the mystery of SMM solved and it WAS ES scenery that caused it. OK.. it's not solved some of the other problems I've had with ES but 1 out of 100 ain't bad
