Hi Pete :hello:

Well.. that reference I found was the first one I landed on (it looked a likely link from Google) and to be honest.. I don't care for it much. It sounds too quaint  Now.. G-U-Z I like the sound of, particularly as I was a radio operator but it's been so long since I was down that way in the mob, I can't remember what their callsign was. Interesting it should be a 'G' though logical being British. Portsmouth (military) is MTN, _ _pause _ pause _. which always used to be transmitted as _ _ _ _ .

Interesting what pop's up isn't it :)

Hi Tom..

I've a feeling there is one somewhere though I can't be certain. I think it was done for UTE users which I didn't have. The FSX version was made by Trev Clark and is available at a few places.. not least of all Flightsim.com.

I got FSX stuttering nicely while continuing the build this afternoon so I changed my FR setting from 28 (god knows how it got there in the first place.. it should have been 30 but I thought 28 close enough and CBA to change it).. to 30. The increase in smoothness was immediate :-O So.. I continued to add more until it's starting to panic again

Cheers Nige ;)

I've so much more to put into it but I really am at bursting point now. Having regained a few fps this afternoon with the FR setting.. I've pretty much lost all I gained. There are now god knows how many little sailing boats down the trot near the 3 Frigates and tanker.. that first shot is from Portsdown Hill and you can just see the IBM building on the left and the Solent Marina on the right.. again with a zillion little boats :wall: I replaced the original portshigh Plaza building (No.1 Gun Wharf) with a fully finished version.. the transparancy probs with that crane were doing my head in  The ferry port now has a full whack of trucks waiting to board the ferry that never turns up (Hermes berths there.. another version). More buildings have been added to Southsea. Portchester Castle is in. The list goes on :) I now need that super computer that's just been retired

Shame I can't go much further with it but having seen 12fps at one point tonight.. I think it really is time to stop! That was a one-off mind you.. I still see around 20 for the most part :)

Cheers Mike. It's all pretty much down to your little project that started me off so thanks for that
