She's just seen this and says that you have can have an extra piece of chocolate pud on Thursday! EricT
Thursday is Ben's fasting day.

Eric - could you warn Julie to keep his dinner to 300 calories and a glass of water, please. He'll thank you for it ;)

Ian
Actually Ian, you're not far wrong, I'm off chocolate (in all its forms) for lent

Mrs W also got me a Kinect for the Xbox and a 'game' called connect adventures, so even if the weather is crap I still have to do my 40 minutes agressive exercise. I do look like a prat doing it though. :agree:

  How much do you think we should offer Mrs W for a surreptitious video?

Seriously, though. Well done, Ben for doing something. You don't want to end up in your 60s surviving on pills - me neither

BTW while we're on a bit of a thread hijack (unusual for this forum 8) ) I'm hoping that my Friday weigh-in will have me reaching my first target of one stone lost in 2013 - and without doing any exercise other than work. (The Fast Diet: http://www.cbfsim.co.uk/cbfs_bb/viewtop ... =8&t=24799) - it works out at around 1.5 to 2 lbs a week so I'm comfortably into the NHS healthy range and my BP has also dropped from a little bit high into the normal range. My flattish tummy has also given me added confidence (which I DON'T need  ) and a smug grin.

Ian :)

HiJack!!!

Yesterday [Monday] i was due to go to see the nurse at the Docs for my yearly health check at 10am and was sitting having my coffee at home and was thinking if it would be cancelled [i don't know why i was thinking that] when the phone rang, it was the lady at the Docs telling me that my appointment would have to cancelled due to the nurse calling in Sick!

It made what hair i have stand on end!! Telepathy or Coincidance, i suspect the latter but i don't know,

Cheers,

Roger.

Do you have any fillings in your teeth Roger?

I've heard these things can act as tiny radio recievers.. Perhaps their was a glitch in the HPP systems
allowing you to hear the message that was sent to the doctors office.

It happened!
Monday 4th March.
They made the FSX settings easy, and we had no ATC, so I was not the expected bucket of sweat.
The platform was fixed to the floor, but after a while, I was so involved with the wrap-around scenery that it did feel like the seat was tilting with the turns.
Wasn't just me, the 3 "passengers" got sucked in, too!
We took off from Tullamarine (Melbourne International), did a touch & go at Moorabbin (their standard) to get used to descending and aligning.
Returned to YMML and landed reasonably well.
Reset to Innsbruck for a take off, cicuit and track along some valleys for a poorly aligned landing (sorry chaps!) :stupid:
I was on the runway, but on an angle which drew gasps from the "passengers" sitting behind doing the photos.
These are some from our Daughter's mobile, Tony is preparing a DVD of the stuff from his cameras.

An early question about the glass cockpit:

Touch & go YMMB:

We're aloft, landing lights etc, seatbelts sign off:

Look mum, no hands, OK, trim is right:

Lined up at Innsbruck, pushing throttles to FULL:

Hope that's not the runway!!

Flick another switch or two:

Descending, throttles to idle, flaps 15:

Thanks for looking, yes, you're right, I want one!

Excellent stuff Mike

So.. this'll be your next project then.. building a fullsize sim in your garage  All it needs is the will to say goodbye to money in huge amounts ;)

Glad you had a great time
