Finally, finally got everything working.
In the Saitek install folder delete any files that reference FS9 and then place the manual script for FSX (it's called something like manualFSXstart.exe) in your startup folder.
Voila! I now have TrackIR and Sitek all working.
Time to go flying....

Now, when you say last of my problems, there's just one more thing. :)
Is there any way to alleviate grainy VFRX textures?
My textures look okay but are noticeably grainy or speckly. :dunno:
I've googled this but must, if not all answers relate to `the blurries` and FS2004.
If I can fix the graininess I'm finally sorted.

I think we all see an element of this Ted.. that's the way the textures are. Post a screenie if you can to show what you mean ;)

Don't know if it's time for me to start worrying, nah, I won't.
Anyway, having now received Horizon VFR airports Vol 1, I went ahead and installed all the Earth sim scenery for Southern UK, CIs and Scilly Is, including treescapes.
A test flight around St Mary's was going well until I returned to land. There were fences in the sky. Has my system joined me by losing its tiny mind? :dunno:

sounds like you've still got the UK2000 VFR airfields St Marys active.
Look in the UK2000 VFR airfields folder& run the options program. Deselect St Marys (EGHE I think) & you should be good to go. :)

A-haaaaaa.. I've seen this when I did a manual install of the Scillies. Now.. let me try and remember what the problem was *-)

Look for a file in FSX\Scenery\World\Scenery called EGHE_StMarys_ALT.BGL. If it's not there.. this is the cause of the floating airport.. and not ALL of the airport either 8) I found it lying in my old install by accident (you know.. when you uninstall FS, it takes whatever it put there and leaves the rest). This file wasn't present in the new install for some ungodly reason.

If it IS there.. I'll have to think of something else  As DG said.. good policy to remove the UK2000 St Mary's too (this I'd already done)

Gentlemen, :hello:
I take my flying helmet off to you!
Unticked St Mary's in the list of airfields under UK 2000 options. Hit [Save&exit] Fence and control tower not in sky, me happy. :agree:

Nice to see an on screen representation of The Old Country where it's not raining! (We watch British TV crime shows)
I'm impressed with the animated detail. Don't know what ORBX England is like, but the ES stuff is right up there with FTX.
Remembering last year's link to the release video of Scilly Is, I can hardly believe I've actually got it on my system now!

If I have trouble with Penzance, which I installed last night, I'll look out :worried: for duplicates.
