I'm sure Mrs C will take it off someone's hands (although she doesn't know it yet!)

For those who are interested ORBX have released England SP1 http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/ ... gland-sp1/

There is a list of fixes attached to the forum post, no mention of HMS Belfast though...

ORBX have been asking for feedback since it came out but I've just been through the improvement wish list and no customers have asked for HMS Belfast to replace whatever it is they've put there. If anyone who's bought it feels strongly about it perhaps they should request it from ORBX for SP2?

Most of the requests on the wish list do seem to have been addressed according to the release notes but I don't have it so I can't check.

There's also a small service pack just released that addresses a few bugs with FTX EGHR Chichester/Goodwood if anybody has that. http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/ ... 110-patch/

Ian :)

Hi Paul C, :hello:
I've just re-read this thread.
The comments are almost identical to my 2012 impression of ORBX Australia.
I'm a VFR simmer, so it disappointed me a lot when I found that I couldn't take off from a regional airport, follow a main road, and see a town in the right spot. Nor could I eyeball the large petrochemical processing and storage facilities near Melbourne's Westgate Bridge. It would have been so easy for them to have dropped at least some big tanks in the area. This is on my list of things to do now that I have Instant Scenery 2 etc. Despite claiming that every road was there, not even all the main roads are continuous or in the right place.
ORBX response was that this was not their intention, and if I interpreted their advertising that way, it was basically my problem. I even suggested to them that they should consult their lawyers about wording of releases for other countries, lest they face a class action. They did not thank me for my advice.
The GOOD thing about it is the FTX payware and excellent quality freeware airports and environs available.
If you haven't bought even a used copy (which is probably illegal in the strictest sense anyway??), just don't expect miracles, and you won't be too let down.

Can you have both ORBX UK and VFR X scenery installed at the same time?
I want to toggle between them using the scenery library, not both at same time!

If you get FTX England.. it's easier than that. You activate FTX scenery through it's own desktop control panel.. select active and you have FTX England.. select default and it goes back to whatever state your system was in before you installed FTX :)

Hello, thanks for that. I've bought the download and have popped a little post up about my initial thoughts. In short, I love it. :agree:

Agreed, Paul,
It's so much better to see road traffic driving on the left, and the overall "feel" when you see more appropriate buildings is refreshing.
If they had advertised it that way, there would have been less complaints.
The best thing is, they're OK with users changing stuff to suit themselves, and with software like SAMM2, Instant Scenery 2 etc., the process is a breeze compared with the old Schirrati(spelling?) manuals that we used with FS98 & prior.
Glad you're loving it!
