I've been searching around for possible repaints of the FS Add On Hudson. A search brought up Jan Kees Blom and a stack of Hudson schemes !! - only to discover they are for the Alphasim model. It was like the noise a crowd makes when the ball is heading towards the back of the net, only to hit the crossbar.
I found only two for this Hudson, a Nationalist Chinese one and a Japanese one ( the latter presumably representing a captured aircraft ); they look good, but not really my cup of tea. I'd love to see Jan Kees have a go, but if he already has the Alphasim model, he might not be inclined to shell out for this new version. Of course, that might be a good thing if it motivates me. We have an excellent model ( in my opinion anyway ) of a plane I really like, and it has a very good paint kit. And it will look lovely over Orbx's forthcoming FTX England
He's a prolific painter isn't he. I saw his name come up loads of times yesterday when looking for a particular paint for the P51 but none were for the model I have I swear I saw the paint/model combination the day before but could I find it yesterday.. err, no!
The P51D though I'm open to the B/C (same aircraft, different place of manufacture) I have to say I generally do better with the FS model than my Parkzone RC model That's the paint I was after.. Gunfighter

Yes I know it well. I have that very same model, courtesy of Lewis at A2A. I have the Me-109E too. I found them very impressive, but as ever, they are not the type of aircraft I choose to fly. That said, I might reinstall them, along with the FSX patches that sort out some graphics anomalies (e.g. see-through sections on the instrument panel ) just to remind myself what they are like. And I would thoroughly recommend the Accusim Fortress. I managed to get hold of a copy of Air Ministry PIlots Notes for the Fortress III ( as we designated the B-17G ) and, apart from some minor details that can't be seen from the pilots' seats anyway, the flight deck is absolutely spot on.
AH yes.. the Me109. I have that little tinker too.. it was already alive and well in FSX. I don't fly it often but a change is as good as a rest as the saying goes
I dragged the FW190 in yesterday and that seems to work ok too. I already have the B17.. flew it a couple of days ago from Valley to Duxford

By the way, the Hudson is this month's 'Spotlight' subject in Flypast magazine. As is often the case, a new flight sim model has sparked my interest in a hitherto neglected ( by me, anyway ) aircraft.
