I suspect it is carriertracks1and2.zip as it is just a load of traffic.bgl's and saved flights with instructions where to put them, the saved flights all start Carrier and include the names mentioned, I have'nt tested them nor do I have any desire to

http://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/ ... s-1-and-2/ looks like it is the same as the FREE Flightsim.com download except you have to PAY to download it.

or this zip from Flightsim.com completely free carriertracks1and2.zip

Flying Stations Ark was the first mentioned which is why I got involved, sorry.

Could be trying to mod saved flights could be the problem if it is not done properly that could put you in the oggin with no carrier.

Flying Stations HMS Ark Royal and Victorious.

Please be aware that the only downloads acceptable are from Flying Stations.

There are 2 downloads on FS-Shipyards that date back to 2008/9 that are way out of date and cause problems with the current Ark, Flightsim.com also has a copy as does Britsim, avoid them.

PS, sorry missed Victorious, as far as is known, by me at least Victorious is only available from Flying Stations though there are 5 I think repaints of Vic in various navies, all fictitious, even one for RN !!

Right, it looks like I was suffering from a combination of problems.

Many thanks to everyone here for pointing me in the right directions. In the end the missing Ark Royal problem appeears to have been caused by some "world of AI" traffic BGL's. Removing them, gives me the Ark back. Hurrah! :welldone:

The other problems seem to relate to the "carriertracks1and2" file as suggested but I think those problems are due to a missing AI Nimitz which I am now reinstalling to see how we go from there...

Thanks again everybody.

Had you converted the WoAI bgl's to FSX format John? AFAIA, they're FS9. Could be wrong though *-)

Must look for Carriertracks. It may be lurking on my system too :worried:

Glad you've made progress

Thanks for that link Ben. I already had v1.6x installed but I see it's now at v2 so I've pulled the latest version ;)

Off Topic a little I know but aircraft AI is one thing that I miss on my rare dips into FSX. I'll just have to make sure I don't add any that will compromise the already mediocre performance I see at some of the highly detailed airports. None can go to Guernsey
