Problem with the system at the moment. Lots of people ( including myself ) are getting this message when trying to make the payment:

"We cannot process this payment as it exceeds the monthly level set by your seller. Please contact the seller"

Thing is, the A-10 I was attempting to buy is now sitting in my Iris account as a prepayment order with no download link.

I'm sure David will sort it out presently.

It's worth the wait - and seems a lovely manual, too. :)

Just printed it out in glorious colour (shame so much background shading is used in them these days - I'm not made of money and decent ink ain't cheap/don't last long!).

At least IRIS don't have a huge coloured band across every page, like Carenado, for example. Really makes my blood boil when I see that. Thanks for thinking of us, Mr Publisher!

I printed the F-14 one in greyscale - looks fine. :agree:

Having bagged 3 aircraft in the sale I, too, have suffered the same error message as Paul.

Shame really as I guess a lot of sales are being lost due to some daft glich in the system. Hopefully it will be solved soon.

HU for the DA-42 Twin Star , there is an update you'll want to get. Version 1.0 is almost like having two AC in one. a twin engine , and upon landing , a hovercraft.
1.5 fixes ground effects and braking, and other stuff..... ;)

BTW as of 9:15 EST (-5 GMT) the everything sale is still showing.

All is now fixed, and I've just grabbed the A-10, DA-40 and DA-42.

Allan, if your order is sitting there as a prepayment order, read below. Its David Brice's explanation of the Prepayment status. I've added the bold/underline because my prepayment order number fell into that range. Followed the instructions and all was fine. From what I read, David is keeping the 'Anything for a fiver' deal going to allow people to catch up. :)

It has come to my attention that a number of customers are confused about what the 'Prepayment' status means on the order page and how it relates to your purchase.

As such, I would like to explain the order process a little and why you shouldn't worry.. :)

When you place an order on the IRIS Store and click the 'proceed to checkout' button which takes you to the paymate payment page, your order is saved in our store and given an order status of 'prepayment'.

This means that we've saved your order and are awaiting confirmation from paymate on what to do next.

When you enter your payment details into paymate, one of two things happen, either the payment is approved or not approved.

If the payment is not approved, you get redirected back to our store and paymate sends our store a piece of code which tells our store to delete the order as it was not approved. (You also get a nice red banner telling you what happened!)

If the payment is approved you are sent to a new page with a big 'Confirm Order' button which you MUST press! This button sends you back to our store and sends a code to our store telling it to alter the payment status from 'Prepayment' to 'Available to Download'.

Sometimes, if the confirm order page times out, or customers accidentally close their browser, no code gets sent to our store to change your order status.

In those instances, you will have paid for the goods, but our store shows 'prepayment' and no download links.

As part of my daily routine, I double check our 'Prepayment' orders in the store against the paypal payment database to see if any orders need manually updating.. and more often than not, some do. :)

So to clarify, when you make a paymate payment.. PLEASE ensure you click the big 'CONFIRM ORDER' button on paymate when you've processed your payment.

Also, to put others minds at ease.. Prepayment DOES NOT mean that we will automatically deduct money or process your payment without your knowledge or consent.

If you have orders in your account under the prepayment status using order numbers 1413 through to 2201, you will need to re-order the products should you wish to have them.

Unfortunately those orders were placed whilst the paymate sales cap was in effect and as such will be deleted in due course as no payments were successfully transacted.

I do hope this information sheds a little more light on the payment process and how this and many other stores deal with internet based transactions.

Kind Regards

David Brice.
