Well, after playing with some Tinmouses, Canberras and Dakotas, the Mount Cook Lily joined my paint shed again.
I've added rivets to the nacelles with the help of this amazing image here:

And this is how they look now:







Sources tell that (at least some of the) Mount Cook birds wore blank metal wings, so I tried to strip the paint off:












The horizontal stabilizer of course will receive similar treatment and maybe I'll fiddle a bit more on the lower parts of the nacelles...

As usual, any comments or suggestions appreciated!

One more question for the experts:

What's the thing about this particular panel?



I've noticed this area got painted in a different shade on some repaints.
My guess would be that it's made of stainless steel instead of aluminium, due to the hot exhaust area underneath. Is that right?

What about the rivets?
Did I exaggerate them?
Don't want to make the nacelles appear like a 19th century's boiler...

On the Vanguard CL-44 and Britannia for example you see darker areas of metal near the hot bits

It's titanium on those types.

Finally decided to skip marking these particular panels, as I didn't found any images of ZK-CWJ actually wearing a distinctive difference there.
Uploads (to AVSIM, Flightsim and SOH) completed.

I've included the photoreal nacelle textures in two multi-layered files (PSD and PSP) for other repainters to play with. Please let me know how this works for you.

Often when new the differences didn't show

But with the metal ageing differently over time and depending on the light which can make titanium look grey, brown, gold, bronze or whatever.
