I would hazard a guess that the long (relatively) load time is because there are a whole load of polys as well as all those animations I put in!
In fact I had to 'fiddle' some bits because I seemed to have come up against the '65K' limit in Gmax/export. It could also depend on ones quality of computer & when windows was last loaded/re-loaded - mine certainly needs a clear out using XP in order to speed things up!
