If I've read this right from a report McLaren did try to contact race control after the incident but they (race control) were very busy. Now heard that this incident is not over yet as Hamilton has been accused of lying to stewards and could be disqualified for the rest of the season.....Guess we will get further information and news as we move closer to the Malaysian GP.

And we've only had
one GP so far :o
There will be more 'handbags at 20 paces' before this season is done

If Lewis is so remorseful about what he did, why did he only come clean AFTER the game was up? He could of salved his conscious and told the FIA the truth anytime during the past week, ideally last Sunday evening after he had collected his thoughts. Instead he allowed a fellow competitor to be disadvantaged due to his actions.

Well mate.. from his position, he's very much stuck between a rock and a hard place isn't he. After all.. the 'company' pay him a considerable sum for his services and part of this sum must include a degree of 'loyalty' in towing the line. He was obviously more than a little pi$$ed off at being put in that situation and who wouldn't be.. other than perhaps Schuey who'd more than likely have got away with it!
Anyway.. hat's off once more to Jensen who is on pole for tomorrows GP

I take your point Dave, but what would McLaren have done to the wonder boy, sack him? I think not, think of the publicity if they had and Lewis told his side of the story. Apart from anything else Lewis is their best hope of recovering from their current car situation, much as it pains me to say it
He could have discussed the situation with the team and told them he was uncomfortable with what had gone on and Mclaren could have earned brownie points, especially considering their past history, by being honest on Monday or Tuesday, instead of leaving it to the FIA to do the digging.
Well done to Button. I bet he can't believe how his fortune has changed this year

Hello Mate
Yeh.. valid points too. I think a major 'positive' (if it can be called one) is that both McLaren and Lewis have learned a valuable lesson from the whole debacle in that if they (the Team) cock up, they can't expect Lewis to push his integrity to the same degree again. What has to be remembered is that he's not just a new driver who they brought into the team from obscurity a couple of years ago.. he's been sponsored by McLaren for what.. the last 10 years and anyone in that situation would feel obliged to do as they're told. He owes them a lot more than just his salary.

The alarm clock is set for tomorrow and very much looking forward to it, the prancing horse is dancing backwards, McLaren are struggling, Brawn and Toyota are up the top of the grid whereas last year they were (when it was Honda) midfield runners....certainly looking good for Jenson, just hope this is the year he takes the championship for he would be a worthy winner.
Regards
Nigel.
