whats the difference between yours and the E8600??... A CASE OF TOO MANY E-NUMBERS HELP

Mine is a 2.66 Ghz dual core and the E8600 is a 3.33 Ghz Dual core....and the price is different.... :roll:

I would go for Techy's chip and memory as you can always go quad later when the prices drop

it will be far cheaper and you only need a motherboard then and a decent heatsink like i suggested if you want to OC.

Oh and i run it on a ASUS P5KE Deluxe board with artic cooling.....may be upgrading that also....

I have never really pushed it hard Tony....maybe upto 2.80 Ghz...all stable...but chickened out.... :roll:

Hmmm.....prices.....lets say 100 quid for the chip....30 quid for the 4 gigs....£12.50 for my daughter...oops wrong site.....

OK all in price to you....but not with my artic cooler or my 1100 watt gaming PSU.....£180 sound good..?

Yes your right, no offence mate I do appreciate the offer but I can get a quad core 6600 with moboard 4gb ram for a little more... Things aint what they woz re prices
