thats good news, I thought it had a top connector?? perhaps anyone with a 8600gts can confrim??

ummm this pic shows another connector..is it the type you warned about Dave??

The pwr connector is the black jobbie on the RH edge.. from top to bottom, 3rd component down I'm pretty sure the gold edged connection on the top is for SLI ;-) ZOTAC have included a power adaptor in case you don't have a spare 6pin supply from your psu

As you can see even with the new card the images are just as appealing!!
if I refresh the textures all ok and perfect, for a couple of minutes then back to this rubbish again, also texturing of aircraft is slow.. No improvement to old card and this one is a faster card with 512mb DDR3 ram!!
I have thrown out nHnacer as it was causing me problems with two monitors, only allowing me to use both if FS is in windowed mode..a no no as far as I am concerned.. So I have done everything I can to get FS running again but to be honest I am about to hang my cap up on this lot as I am forever chasing shadows and I have neither the time or patience anymore

I have decided to test a little...again!!!

Ok I removed from my scenery.cfg all unticked entries then I unticked but not removed the Kia Tak FS9 DRagons stuff. ran atest flight and set it on auto went away for 15 minutes and low and behold solid perfect txtures... jumped into cockpit view threw it around slewed up and about and it stayed rock solid bar the odd popping into sharpness textures which is normal... so have I found the answer or not???? I still have nHancer switched off as I find it next to useless
we shall see...anyone else have probs with kia tak?

But I DO know that it's better to let FS build a new cfg when you switch Cards, as there are some cardinfo in there, that has to be changed to reflect reality.

(Remember all the manual tweaks you've done, and as always make a backup before you delete it)

I did a new build of the cfg but to no avail, I must admit I was at a loose end over this then I recall Peter Mc saying that a rogue texture caused such things, so I decided to kill all of the scenery using FSNAV (brilliant thing and the MAIN reason I rarely use FSX)
I decided to do a clean out of the unchecked items, then looking at it I decided to kill the first entries, aka Kia Tak did this and the result was perfect.. Now this was a fluke... or I had finally found the bugger... I will spend a bit more time testing again Thursday and if it still looks good I will replicate the situation with Kia Tak activated.
I have version 1 of Kia Tak so maybe I should install v2 or then again NOT BOTHER
The only thing that makes sense is that being high up in the priority it could the texture folders contents are being called into use for various textures???
beyond me but if it cures it I will be happy... not counting my chickens just yet ...

You aren't usin Nein Dragoon Kia Tia 9 in FSX are you?

FlyTapma has made a FSX-version, and the only FSX-version I know off.

New Gradoons is especially for FS9 or am I missing pott here?
