Pure speculation on my part but, perhaps because it’s not a passenger plane in the literal sense it escapes having to conform to the rules that the Dak is soon to fall foul off (he says hoping to keep the dream alive :flying: ).

But whatever the case it would appear the Pantons are in talks with the CAA to try and make this a possibility. Who knows, a knock on effect may even be the resumption of Dakota flights (now he really is entering the realms of wishful thinking  :$ :worried: :dunno: ).

Its under 19 seats Garry, so that rule doesn't apply. That said, I know several organisations were told by the CAA over the past few years that they weren't allowed to do flights for the public after a "donation" anymore, so not sure how this would work, but I'd be very much up for it if it were available. :)

Hi Garry,

May very well be able to get away with it as the Lanc is not classed as a regular passenger carrying aircraft. :dunno:

I would think that it would cost a hell of a lot of money to have a flight in her, currently it is around £100+ just to be onboard as a pax on a taxi run so would hate to think how much they might charge for a flight. Certainly won't be Easy Jet prices!!

Regards
Nigel.

Thanks guys for installing some logic in that

Perhaps AA could fiddle tthe Dak to enable it to continue but it would not be commercially viable??

Remains to see what happens but there are too many kiljoys around.....even if it meant signing a disclaimer the individual could at least decide

Whatever happens they are full of ideas which is often lacking with a lot of those things..... perhaps down to cash restraints but it will be better than now in the end as the money appears to be there.
