Great, many thanks for the info.
Looking forward to your report Dave, have to wait until next month or August at the latest. The good wife said I can have it so don't want to risk my luck too much by pestering her for an early delivery.
Women are well known to change their minds without warning!!
Regards
Nigel.

Well, that's great news, Nigel! Are you hoping for a boy or a girl?

Hi,
I'd recommend a Saitek Evo Force - solid, very smooth action, 12 buttons plus 8-way hat and 4 axis. Although a few problems with force feedback in FS9 these are easily solved by a little tweak in the .air file of the offending aircraft.
I had a few Logitech sticks in the past but never really liked them - a bit flimsy, although I found a good use for one after de-gutting it to use the innards for my home-made pedals.
On the number of buttons issue, I've used Game Commander voice software for many years - excellent for multi-action commands such as lowering landing lights and arming the spoiler on gear-down. It seems to have gone freeware now - even better. :flying:

Nigel..
My Logitech Extreme 3D Pro turned up today and first impressions are that it's a very solid.. well put together piece of kit. While smooth in operation, the spring tension is a little tighter than the Sidewinders but I'm sure I'll get used to it. Not tried to load the included software and for normal FS use.. I doubt you'll need it. Loads of buttons.. all of which can be selected/assigned in FS ;-)
Considering this one is refurbished from Logitech.. it looks brand new. Definately a good deal at £13.99 plus postage (about £23 all in)

I have a Microsoft Sidewinder joystick that I would like to clear out. It has been little used.
I offered it to my grandson Jack, who is in line for one of Rick’s Hawks as a present from me, but he could not use it because it has a D-Connector and not a USB connector. With this limitation in mind, if anyone would like to take it, it is free of charge but with one proviso. I am a lazy sod and hate packing so you would have to make your own arrangements to collect it or have it collected from Twickenham.
