This is why I am wodereing about the older models being pre makeMDL if there is a difference??

If I put anything in the VC of my models then all that, apart from the forward view, appears in the 2D

As I said before though I have not looked into it myself so I am just curious as this thread has brought it up. :)

All worked well with a the DC4, but engine still cuts out on the Argonaut. Otherwise no problems. I am using the latest JBK versions.

It restarts but if you are on Flynet that is a bit of a problem.

How do you get on with engine temp management........the DC being air cooled and the C-4 liquid cooled???

This was one of my concerns when I first saw the new DC panel Garry and it may be the reason for the cutout when selected.. perhaps not the temp problem itself but the fact that the engines are completely different

Simon.. cutting out on FlyNET after loading isn't a problem mate. You can start cold should you wish ;-)

I have started cold no problems. It's mid air I find worrying. Only if I toggle the screen. So once I start a flight I cannot leave FS at all for any reason. As for the temp the Argonaut handling notes it still states to use cowl flaps, but I thought Merlins didn't have them. I use the cowl flaps, but that could be that the original JBK was defaulted to the default DC3 sounds, possibly the engines as well.

Just a quickie. Using the JBK DC4 and 6 there is not the same problem on cutting out.

I would like to publicly thank DaveB who I think has been burning the midnight oil, the gauge remedy seems to have worked, although on my panel it is gauge 56. Just going to do EHAM to EGLL to thoroughly test it. My thanks to everybody else who chipped in as well.

No problem Simon ;-) I think we probably have variations on a theme though if we're happy with what we see and it get's the Argonaut fleet used a little more.. it really doesn't matter. I have to confess that my flights have been made under duress until this point totalling 2 per year to keep my TR in date but hopefully, that will now change ;-)

A useful exercise with a reasonably successful conclusion
