Oh, I haven't yet, but when the time comes I will try to persuade him. He's a reasonable chap so I think he probably will (right, Paul? :) ) . In the meantime, here are the two schemes I was on about earlier:

Steve

Getting off track for a second - I just got a request over at the pond for your prototype paints - and I can be buggered if I can find them in the library...would it be too much of an imposition to ask you to reload for us

Thanks

See your PM on this one, Leif. On the note of requests, if anyone has any (for any type) please let me know and I'll get on them.

Hi Steve, I would love a version flown from Tangmere in the early 60's, I think they were 115 Sqn Signals Command. Pete P might well have some pics in his library collection.

Will see what I can find on that one, Trev, although if Pete, or anyone else has immediate material to share, please bung it my way.

Cheers,

Steve

Well I think it's about time to smoke this turkey with some nice photies I still have of the RRAF B2's. Where's that old scanner when I need it? They'll find you, digitally scanned, Steve. I'll find the ones without bullet holes, although it may be a cheecky touch to put some holes in the repaints to give a feel of action from the Rhodesian civil war?

While it's not exactly in the Xmas spirit, Sean my old pal, I'm sure Santa can arrange some bullet damage! I have a good few Rhodesian Canberra profiles to work from at the mo, but welcome any 'real' reference material you can send my way, especially if it shows wear and tear (I do love a bit of good grime).

I also heard from Paul again today and he is still aiming for a pre-Xmas release. He's just ironing out a few touches on the export B.2s and then should be ready.

In the meantime, Paul K asked me to do the orange B.2 with borrowed wings from a 100 Sqn TT.18 (yes, this did exist!), so Paul, here you go mate. I have also made a short video of a flight test if anyone's interested:

**EDIT: Paul K informs me that the wings are wrong on this paint; he is going to supply me with correct reference so there will be changes to this scheme.

That one is an interesting variation, although still not as colourful as the RAE bird with the target tug striping.

This is all looking very nice, you and Paul are spoiling us - he's going to need a very big bow to wrap up this Christmas pressie! :welldone:

The detail in the nose-pod is looking very good. Loved the film and the really meaty sounds with it. Must be a charm to fly, to be sure, to be sure. And Xmas will be lonely without it. xwink But the wait will be worth it. xsmile I did find the old scanner I talked about earlier, but it's the old-fashioned parallel port type which won't like my pc, so maybe a chance to spoil myself with a sparkling new USB version for those RRAF Canny's. Here's wishing everyone reading this a very merry Xmas and an exciting 2008.
