Hi Ben

Yes it would be great if it works.

I'm reluctant to adjust my FSX 748 as it might mess it up as it currently works as well as it did in FS9.

the only problem is CRTL E is the only way the engines can be started as they changed the way FSX starter switch events work.

it used to be continuous till started & now it's one cycle i think or vice versa.

Regards
Rick

I know Rick... DM and Fraser where having a chat about the code for that the other day, so maybe they can get to the bottom of it. :)

I'm on to it as well

You will of course need autothumbnail2.zip if you plan to release it with the thumbnail showing in the Aircaft-select menu

Garry , I haven't had one yet (I think), but I guess you just add it again if it is gone just before you save it as dds.

Hi Dan

Just catching up with things :worried: ..

That HP.42....there looks to be a lot of detail missing on the textures.

No it is same as the first time I showed it off in the Gallery section....before summer that was...

Windows black, and propeller/engine textures not suitable for FSX (yet), so that has nothing to do with the fallback method.

Nothing to do with the dds-conversion either, as I haven't done that on the HP ;-)

Hi Dan

Yes i have it working too.

thanks for the pointer.

I have not changed any textures to DDS at all.
mainly due to the way the night textures are made (I do it different to most) i use a black alpha channel & not a white for _L textures .

give me a couple of days to change all the files around and make a new beacon FX file as the FS9 one i made flashes way too fast in FSX.

i also seem to have no texture on the rear seat cushion in the VC (texture is there but is not showing on rear :dunno: .

but the texture.cfg file does work correctly so they must have fixed that in SP1 as i did check it before.

Regards
Rick

Glad you're sorted, one lesser problem to deal with, enroute to FSX ;-)

Well now that I have it, I might even give it a try .... :)

Now I'm mightily confused.....

Garry, it might just be the reflection blocking the detail in that pic...the 42 looks fine in FSX..considering it was originally a FS2002 model..it was quickly tested and released at the same time as FS9.. :dunno:

The windows material is now too dark, but.....
