Marty

I was trawling last night researching British classic thats in progress
here (The Bristol Frightner) and found this site - dont know if it
would help - some good external and internal shots, and an address
for the owner there in Australia :)

http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0Je5qh3gLVGW ... et.au/~dpa

and - http://www.antique-aeroplane.com.au/

Also shots of the same aircraft at -
http://www.cnapg.org/

Also this one in New Zealand

Im sure you have already found these but if not they look like they may be good leads :)

Cheers

Hi and welcome,

Yup anything with Jets attached to it that came from Hatfield is pretty much my interest (or most things Hatfield related full stop!).

The tricky thing about the 125 is that there are well over 10 different variants and several different engine types such that its very hard to model something that is representative of all types! Consequently you have to be very careful what reference materials you use as its likely you'll find slightly different types.

Hope you didnt think I was being too harsh - I did download and fly it from
Adelaide to Hay to give it a try. Youve come to the right place for help
As Garry said - Toby Vickers is Mr 125 and can help you greatly -
If I may offer one thought - You may also wish to talk to Brian (Horse)
Horsley about the Flight model - it behaves far too much like a Lear45
than a Viper powered 125. As to Beagles - specifically the Airedale I
understand there are several airworthy copies in Australia and New
Zealand :) Personally I would love to see G-ASTX flying again - the
best light twin NEVER produced :(

Good Luck mate - as I said youve come to the right place for help

The guys at Qantas virtual airways have asked me for the model in Qantas training colors so I will re do the Civil model with the new textures and a shorter nose, could I have some pointers please, on how to make it fly more realisticly.
Thanks Marty

I spoke with Brian (Horse) last night on Skype - Hes a country man
of yours - he lives in Brisbane - Just leave a message here for him
and like Toby he will show up and answer you - you may also
want to talk to Toby about instrument panels - the civilian ones
were as he says "bespoke" at best - Almsot every customer had
their own panel :)

Glad you found your way here eventually - at this forum reside
some of the most knowledgeable folks in all the various regimens
of model building - and also some of the finest folks I have ever
NOT met :)

Marty,

Thanks for doing the 125. I have been flying it for a while and I am not an expert on whether the model is correct or not.

I have flown it enough to make some tweaks to the panel. There are a few missing gauges, at least in the 2d cockpit, but not a big deal. I did some substitutions and also copied some of the switches from the virtual cockpit to the 2d cockpit (not a big fan of virtual cockpits....old eyes here.) Mostly engine starters and fuel cuttoff's and so on. Took me most of today to do that so I can really appreciate the effort you put into this baby!
