I was thinking the same thing but could'nt come up with any at all. I'm sure someone will confirm this.

At the time we were into the Viscount..with the Vanguard to follow.
When the French first studied, projects with Darts were considered but there was no point in re inventing the Viscount so they went into new territory with the twin jet concept.
Given the time they did this it was indeed a very brave move.

Sterling was as near as you'll get

- well after all it may have had an aah de Havilland nose and R-R noise generators at the back, but the middle is afflicted by garlic-chewing surrender monkey engineering
On the Caravelle slant, a friend lives in Fernhurst which I believe was the site of a Caravelle crash. There is little local record of the tragedy. I recall one of the aero magazines having an article about it, but I missed getting a copy. Anyone have any details?
