Is there a Video for the falklands flypast as I missed it. HELP

The VC10 over Oxford flew on to Kemble for the Air Day which I attended. It was in a special 101 sqn anniversary scheme. A bit later we had two Hercs aswell also from the flypast. I will shortly post some pics over in the Gallery.

The Harrier is still in my mind one of the most versitile military aircraft. I struggle to see how JSF will even come close. Its a very complex aircraft, some would argue overly complex.

Given how quite a few Harriers were lost in accidents and even now the occasional one drops out of the sky if the engine fails, the Harrier is comparatively inexpensive alongside a JSF. If we lose any of those in the same fashion I cant see us replacing them too hurriedly.

Part of me thinks that things like JSF are an extension of Cold War thinking. Modern day adversaries are not so technically adept as the Russians were but are hidden away and spread wide. Personally I am quite an advocate of a greater number of simpler UAVs for quite a few roles.

Exempt was a rather off the cuff word to use and not well chosen There are though restrictions on single-engine aircraft flying over the capital (unless I've got that wrong too) and the reason the Harrier (or more to the point.. SHAR) wasn't present was not because it had a single engine as was reported by Joe Reporter.. another one of Auntie Beeb's finest!!
