That looks rather tasty Brian :yipeee:
I remember some years back, a wise old painter (yes.. it was you Gerry if you ever look in again!!) saying that the Beaver was a tw*t to paint and thus the model got left behind and never flown. That is FAR superior to the original and doesn't look like its coated in marine varnish either
Well done matey :partyman:

I see you've been beavering away Brian.
I'm glad you've made the bold step and tried it and the effort looks more than worthwhile to me
Nice one

Thanks for the encouraging comments chaps......It was suprisingly pleasing to get the end result....more a sense of achievement I suppose.....it goes to show what can be done when you set your mind on doing something.....

Brian, Why don't you post the repaint over at "The Pond", for those of us who agree with your comments about the default Aerosoft repaint?!!

Good idea
AndyG I have now posted it over at 'The Pond'....look under aircraft repaints (Beaver Army) and the file will be there.
Thanks to the kind host 'The Happer Otter' and to DaveB for his words of wisdom

Hi Brian
Nicely done mate..I shall have to drag her out of the hanger
Incidentally, if the paint on the real thing was the same stuff we used for vehicles...'Paint, G1098, Anti Infra-Red, Camouflage for the use of'....then when fresh it would have been dead matt but quickly acquired a sheen through use...as well as chip-fat fingerprints..
Spot on Brian

Derek

Thanks for those kind words Del

I have had encouraging feedback on this repaint with constructive critisism which is what one needs to progress further.
The colours have been altered a tad due to fresh information received plus there was a lot of annoying coloured pixilations on the Fus etc......
both have been addressed and I have
re-posted the file over at 'The Pond' as a completely new seperate file.
This new file has much sharper markings and a different colour shading......
Regards.
